Dear Fellow Seeker;

It is very exciting to know that you have recently expressed an interest in ECKANKAR, the Religion of the Light and Sound of God. I would like very much to welcome you to the "local" Oklahoma ECK Community of people, much like yourself, who are on a personal spiritual journey of growth and awareness of Divine Love in our daily lives. That can be challenging in an ever-changing world!

I am the Regional ECK Spiritual Aide (RESA) or regional leader of the ECKANKAR local affiliate, the Oklahoma Satsang Society, Inc. Satsang means "Union with that which is pure and imperishable... Study of the works of ECK". This society is made up of volunteers who, like myself, give of their love and time to help others get the most out of their studies of the ECK teachings. We, like you, all took our first steps onto this beautiful path of Divine Love and self-discovery of Soul, that divine, imperishable spark of God that we are. Through the books and discourses given to us by the spiritual leader of Eckankar, Sri Harold Klemp, you too can take those steps toward self mastery, life without fear and awareness of God in all people, creatures and things around you.

In different parts of the state, many ECK activities take place, to which you would be most welcome. There are workshops such as "Be The HU," and "Past Lives, Dreams and Soul Travel," based on the books of the same name by Sri Harold Klemp, and workshops on books such as "The Spiritual Laws of Life," or "How to Survive Spiritually in Our Times," both also written by Sri Harold Klemp. Often these workshops are followed with monthly book discussions for those interested in further study. You might also like to attend one of the many ECK Worship Services, which are open to the public. They are a beautiful way to open your heart to Divine Spirit, hear some of the ECK works and experience the sound of the HU, a love song to God.

All of these events can be found in our monthly newsletter, the "ECK News of Oklahoma" which we will be happy to mail to you for three months at no charge. It has wonderful articles written by people, like you, on a quest for spiritual freedom in this lifetime. It also lists many activities and events to which you would be most welcome. There is so much to share about ECKANKAR that I would be hard-pressed to put it all in one letter. I have been a member for 25 years. My studies and the guidance of the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master, Sri Harold Klemp, have changed me from an undirected victim of life to a Soul learning how to give and receive Divine Love. You too can experience the joy of recognizing the Sound and Light of Divine Spirit all around you, all the time.
